The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) credential is the premium certification for professionals who install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot both simple routed Local Area Networks (LANs) and simple routed Wide Area Networks (WANs) and their components for business requirements.

The University of Louisville CCNA Program Prerequisites
In addition to having a high school diploma (or equivalent), candidates for the CCNA track should have a basic understanding of a Microsoft Windows operating system (either Windows 95, 98, NT 3.51, 4.0 or 2000). Also, prior experience with network components including LAN's and WAN's is recommended, but not required.
